The OTP generated through this application serves as an alternative to the traditional SMS OTP for authenticating transactions and requests in IDBI Net Banking. This functionality allows users to generate OTPs directly from a mobile-based application, eliminating reliance on SMS messages sent to registered mobile numbers. By utilizing this feature, users can bypass issues related to mobile coverage, non-receipt, or delays in SMS delivery, thus enhancing convenience by avoiding the wait associated with SMS OTPs.

To access this facility, users must complete a registration process. This involves logging into internet banking and requesting soft token registration, which can be found under the "My Profile" section in the “Security” tab, labeled as “Soft Token Registration.” After submitting the registration request, an activation code will be sent via SMS. If the activation code is not received, users have the option to regenerate it using the “Soft Token Activation Code Regeneration” feature within internet banking. Once the activation code is obtained, the application can be activated on your mobile device by entering details such as customer ID and internet banking login credentials.

Upon successful submission and verification of user details, activation of the IDBI Soft Token will be completed, enabling the use of soft token-based OTP for authorizing financial transactions and requests.

Important Instructions:

• Registration is required to utilize this service; please initiate the registration process via net banking.
• An activation code, Customer ID, and login credentials are necessary to enable net banking access.
• Select the SIM card associated with your registered mobile number during activation.
• A pass code must be provided each time to generate a Soft Token-Based OTP from the app.
• If the pass code is forgotten, it is necessary to restart the activation process.
